My Rather Confused Reaction to the President Elect

Barack Obama is our president elect. First it was a feeling of relief that the Bush was going to be out of office, but then it turned into a message of hope.

Am I a party pooper, or am I cynical to think that the amazing speeches Obama has given hasn't moved me. The rhetoric he gives is superior to McCain, yes, but I cannot believe EVERYTHING he says. He's a politician, and politicians haven't the best reputaion. He's probably different, I know, but this man has yet to prove to me his capabilty to avoid corruption. But I do have higher hopes when he announced a meeting on the economy.
